Associate / Senior Associate
You will be working within one of Adveq’s investment program teams and will be responsible for conducting industry studies, portfolio analysis and due diligence work for fund investments. Over time, you will also assume account and marketing responsibilities.
We are looking for candidates with:
- A university degree in computer science or natural science, together with an MBA or similar postgraduate qualification from a leading international university
- 5 years’ work experience in investment management, corporate finance, consulting, business management or other related fields
- A strategic approach, sound business judgment and an entrepreneurial mind-set
- International experience
- A high level of curiosity, strong discipline and attention to detail
- An excellent understanding of financial statements, financial concepts and financial modeling
- An ability to integrate rapidly and to work effectively in a multicultural team of professionals
- An ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic and demanding environment
- Strong project management and execution skills and an ability to meet challenging deadlines while maintaining a high degree of quality and accuracy
This position provides first-rate exposure to venture capital and buyout fund investments in the US, Europe, and Asia.
Finance Support
Your responsibilities:
- You will work in the areas of accounting, cash management, controlling, US GAAP reporting and compliance
- You will be responsible for the timely administration of individual private equity funds of funds (calls for and repayment of capital, accounting, cash flow planning and subscription documents), which you will perform on an autonomous basis
- You will produce internal and external analyses
- You will perform project work
Our requirements:
- Basic commercial training completed − preferably in the financial sector (banking, asset management, fiduciary)
- A meticulous and reliable approach to work and good analytical skills
- A good command of English and German
